The binding posts, vise screw, coil cores, and contact screw knob were all made at the Dead Nuts Ink machine shop on a manual lathe. The armature speed bars are made here on a manual drill press. Our springs are hand cut and shaped from raw blue spring steel stock. Hand Made in the USAEvery machine is a one piece casting made of ductile ironThe Quill Machine begins as the blank frame shown below and are Hand Carved, oil blackened, and polishedCustom coils are hand wound by Steele IronsLiner machines run around 145hz unloaded, medium stroke with a medium hitShader machines run around 120hz unloaded, medium stroke with a soft hitBecause of the hand carving, the weight varies slightly.
